Enlarged Erie Canal Lock No. 54, Lock Berlin, N.Y.

Enlarged Erie Canal Lock No. 54 (also called the Berlin lock) is located in the Village of Lock Berlin, Town of Galen, Wayne County, N.Y., approximately 4 miles east of Lyons, N.Y. and 4 1/2 miles west of Clyde, N.Y. It is a double-chamber lock, with the north chamber double-length. Below are photographs of old Lock No. 54 taken in late March 2007 -- click on an image below to see the full-size version.
